Children’s Mercy
Neil Mardis is a pediatric radiologist at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Dr. Mardis completed his residency training at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital/Michigan State University in 2007. After residency, Dr. Mardis studied pediatric radiology at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. His primary interest is MRI and he is currently the MRI Medical Director at Children’s Mercy, specializing in pediatric musculoskeletal, neurologic, and cardiac imaging. He is interested in advanced magnetic resonance imaging techniques including diffusion tensor imaging, functional MRI, cartilage mapping, and liver elastography. Dr. Mardis also instituted a medical 3D printing program to create physical models for clinicians to aid in diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex diseases. He hopes to expand 3D printing services to assist researchers, teachers, and students in their work in the near future.
