Abby Kietzman is the Manager of Research Informatics Experience at Children’s Mercy, where she works to improve how researchers engage with available research systems and tools. She focuses on aligning technology and data management needs with real‑world research workflows, supporting adoption and change, and enhancing the overall experience for research teams. With prior experience as a wet‑lab research assistant and a clinical research coordinator supporting infectious disease community research, Abby brings a practical, user‑centered perspective to research informatics, regulatory processes, and data management. She holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Georgia, an M.S. in Bioinformatics from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine, and is a Certified Professional through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). Abby also serves as the Children’s Mercy Informatics Core Navigator for the Frontiers Clinical and Translational Science Institute, where she consults with researchers and facilitates multidisciplinary collaboration among both CM and external partners with informatics‑related needs.
