Erin Ealba Bumann, DDS, PhD

Erin (Boo-man) Bumann is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and American College of Dentists. She is also a tenured Associate Professor in the Department of Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. She is currently funded by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research and the Menorah Heritage Foundation; and previously funded by the American Dental Association and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. With experience in diagnostic imaging and patient care, Dr. (Boo-man) Bumann bridges clinical practice and computational research, collaborating to translate advanced AI and deep learning methods into tools that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making in dental radiography. Her work focuses on integrating technological innovation into routine clinical workflows while working to improve educational outcomes and patient care.
