Speakers: J. Sailor Usher

Sailor Usher is the Augmented & Virtual Reality Coordinator at UMKC’s Innovation Studio, where he works with immersive technologies for research and education. He blends Unity, Unreal, and Godot development with human-centered design to turn emerging tech into reliable, low-cost applications. His work spans immersive educational math games, training simulators, 3d modeling tools, and holographic interfaces for large-language models. Sailor’s current interests include developing with AR glasses that measurably improve outcomes without separating us from the world around us.
